PRIVACY POLICY
THIS NOTICE DESCRIBES HOW WE HANDLE AND MAINTAIN CONFIDENTIAL PERSONAL FINANCIAL INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE TO US. PLEASE REVIEW THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY.
A. PRIVACY POLICY SUMMARY
We are very aware of your concerns about the privacy of non-public personal and financial information. Keeping your personal and financial information secure is one of our most important responsibilities. We regularly review our information security standards and practices to protect against unauthorized access to information about our applicants and borrowers. Our employees are required to treat all personal and financial information of our applicants and borrowers as confidential and our employees are subject to disciplinary action if they fail to observe these provisions.
PointBridge Corporation (“Company”) does not sell or share your information with third party marketers. Because of this policy, there is no need for you to request or “opt-out” of any personal or financial information sharing. Should we change that policy, we will provide you with a prior notice and opportunity to “opt-out” at such time. This Notice is intended to provide you with Company’s policy on the following:
• what information we collect and how we use it;
• our obligations with respect to the disclosure of your personal and financial information; and
• your privacy rights in your personal and financial information.
B. COLLECTION AND USE
We collect information about you from various sources, including: (1) the personal and financial information you provide to us, such as your name, address, telephone numbers, social security numbers, bank accounts, assets, liabilities, income and expenses, and (2) information provided by an ad valorem tax reporting service, the applicable taxing authorities, credit reporting agencies and title companies. If you apply for a loan and use a credit card, we will also request the credit card number and other information necessary to process payment in such manner.
We use the information we collect to determine your eligibility for our loan products. If you qualify for a loan, we use the information to process your loan, file documents and establish your account with us.
C. DISCLOSURE
We do not disclose your information to third party marketers. We do, however, disclose the personal and private information we have collected about you to third party service providers and the like, as permitted by law, who perform services on our behalf and assist us in processing, funding and administering the loan. We also may need to share your information if required by law-for example, in response to a subpoena from or an audit by a state or federal government agency. Additionally, the law requires that certain documents you provide to us in conjunction with your loan (e.g., the Tax Lien Contract and Transfer(s) of Tax Lien) be filed of public record with the appropriate local county office. We will not place your social security number or driver’s license number on a document to be filed of record.
D. YOUR RIGHTS
Ordinarily, you have the right to “opt-out” of allowing Company to provide your personal or financial information to unaffiliated third parties by contacting Company and asking that it not provide such information to unaffiliated third parties. However, Company already has a policy that it will not do so. Accordingly, you do not
need to contact us for such purpose. If Company should desire to amend this policy, it will contact you prior to doing so and provide you the opportunity to opt-out at such time.
You have the right to review the personal and private information you provide to Company, and the information we collect to be sure that it is accurate and up-to-date. You can obtain a copy of your information, at any time by contacting Company at the telephone number and address set forth at the end of this Notice. If the information is incomplete, inaccurate or not correct, please call or write Company as noted. Company will promptly update or correct any erroneous information. Company will also provide to you a copy of your loan
documents following a loan closing when all steps have been completed, generally, after receipt of any documents required to be filed in the public records.
